Parker SSD Upgrades TS8000 Touchscreen

CHARLOTTE, NC—Parker Hannifin SSD Drives Div. has introduced several new features and enhancements for the TS8000 line of programmable touchscreens. All new shipments will include the latest software version 3, and users of previous versions can upgrade their existing DSI8000 software by free download.

In addition to RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, and Parker SSD Link, fildbus option cards now are available for IEEE 1394 FireWire, CANopen, DeviceNet, and PROFIBUS DP, and the TS8000 is compatible with WAGO I/O systems to provide a remote I/O solution via Ethernet and CANopen networks.

To augment the standard NEMA 4X/IP66 panel rating, protective clear film overlays now are offered for additional durability. Available in packs of 10, the overlay has pre-applied low-tack adhesive for easy installation.

The TS8000 touchscreen is used to control and communicate with a variety of drives, including the Parker SSD 590+ DC drive, 650, 690+, and 890 AC drives, and 631, 635, 637F servos. See parker.com.
