Sonoco and Nestle USA Sign Exclusive Agreement

HARTSVILLE, SC, USA—According to Sonoco, Nestle USA has engaged the US-based converter as its exclusive supplier for paperboard cans used to package certain Nestle products in the United States. Sonoco says its provides a range of packaging solutions to the food manufacturer for its powdered beverage products, including Nestle Nesquick, Carnation Hot Cocoa Mix, and Carnation Coffee-Mate.

Says senior VP of Sonoco's global consumer products div., "We are pleased to help meet Nestle's packaging needs with our growing portfolio of packaging solutions driven by increasing expenditures for new product-and-services development. Consumers are demanding different and more convenient forms of packaging, ranging from paperboard cans to flexible packaging, and rigid plastics.
