NORTHBROOK, IL, USA—The Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) reports it will commemorate its history at its upcoming technical seminar, "25 Years of Tape Innovations." The annual event is scheduled to be held at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, GA, May 1–3, 2002.
According to the PSTC, "the theme of this year's technical seminar emphasizes the impact of technology on product development, research, manufacturing, and end-user applications. Sessions are geared toward helping participants expand their knowledge base and preparing for challenges of the future.…The featured speakers represent thought leaders and established industry experts from around the world. Topics range from industry economic forecasts to development of standard methods to techniques for quality assurance to technical reports on research in manufacturing and application."
The technical seminar, reports PSTC, will be preceded by an in-depth course as part of PSTC's Tape University program. "On April 29 and 30," says the Council, "six industry leaders will serve as faculty for 12 hours of classroom discussion and interactive learning in 'Tape University 102: Advanced Technology for Pressure-Sensitive Tapes.' Together, the seminar and course will provide a week of high-quality, educational programming for the pressure-sensitive tape industry as a cost-effective, efficient way to stay current in industry technology and trends."
