FAIRFIELD, NJ, USA—Fischer & Krecke reports its Access technology has been awarded a patent. According to the OEM, Access dramatically reduces changeover-time by allowing operators to set up non-operational print stations of one printing job while the previous job is still running. The system allows the safe performance of set-up work, such as cleaning ink units; changing sleeves or intermediate mandrels and anilox rollers; replacing worn doctor blades; and putting in new inks or setting of new ink parameters, adds co.
"Access can be integrated completely with additional F&K automation and management systems that allow the entire changeover process to be accomplished safely and efficiently with no down time for repeat runs when appropriate stations are available," explains the mfr. "For some customers, the improved efficiency offers dramatic returns on investment in extremely short times."
