Spartanics to Premiere Die Cut, Color Match Products at Graph Expo

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL, USA—Spartanics announces it will premiere its optically registered, wide format, die cutting system, among other new products, at the upcoming Graph Expo and Converting Expo trade show, slated for September 28 through October 1, 2003, at McCormick Place, Chicago, IL, USA.

According to Spartanics, at booth number 651, exposition attendees will have the opportunity to learn about its M500 die cutting system, a 30-in.-wide system described by the company as "the world's highest precision die cutting technology [that will enable] printers and converters to get the greatest throughput for wallet-sized or smaller pieces in 72 up or 96 up sheets, and/or get unsurpassed plus-or-minus 0.1 mm (or better) registration precision in X, Y, and Theta axes for large and small die cut pieces alike."

"World's First" Automatic Image Alignment Colorimeter
"Error-free color matching is newly available to worldwide printers by using the first automatic image alignment [Spartanics] colorimeter," says the co. "By using the highly affordable colorimeter, printers and converters now can guaranteee exact color matches to their customers and deliver it without fail," adds Spartanics.

According to the mfr., the new colorimeter is several times faster than earlier-generation technology, yet it does not place any limit on the number of regions of interest one can set to color match. In addition, says co., it includes:

• automatic pattern alignment that eliminates the need for operator expertise (and time);

• unparalleled accuracy within Delta E of 1;

• capacity to analyze and match unlimited numbers of regions of interest, even pixel by pixel if desired;

• solid-state LED lighting for reliable and consistent results; and

• an automatic alarm system that can be pre-set, eliminating the need for operators to decided what is acceptable or unacceptable.

New Lasor Senor Autocutter
Spartanics says it will showcase its lasor sensor M95 Autocutter too. "Automated trimming and the cutting of sheets being fed into electro-optically registered die-cutting systems now can be done more reliably and quickly using the M95," says the company, adding that the technology enables printers and converters to benefit from less downtime and quicker job changeovers.
