Kodak Polychrome Graphics to Acquire Remote Proofing Provider RealTimeImage

NORWALK, CT & SAN BRUNO, CA, USA—Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) reports it has signed a letter of intent for KPG to aquire RealTimeImage's graphics arts division. According to KPG, with completion of the acquisition, the "ground-breaking" suite of RealTimeProof products "for web-based, high-resolution collaborative proofing and approval management" will be part of KPG's proofing product portfolio.

KPG says upon acquisition completion, RealTimeImage's employees will become part of Kodak Polychrome Graphics, and will continue to provide service and support to the thousands of RealTimeProof customers and users. KPG plans to acquire the five existing RealTimeProof products, including: RealTimeProof ASP (application service provider); RealTimeProof Express; RealTimeProof Private Label; RealTimeProof Partner; and RealTimeProof Classic.

Says KPG CEO Jeff Jacobson, "Bringing together the RealTimeProof suite of solutions and the Kodak Polychrome Graphics Matchprint Virtual Proofing system, makes KPG the leader in monitor proofing. Jacobson adds that RealTimeProof's core imaging technologies also may further enhance KPG's color-imaging expertise for current and future graphics products.
