SUN PRAIRIE, WI, USA—CTI Paper USA, Inc. confirms sharp sales increases in Glama-lope translucent envelopes and Glama Natural translucent papers, which the co. says provide added security for direct mail and personal end uses. According to the mfr., Glama Natural, a 75% translucent paper, allows the recipient to see all substances within the envelope. The "durable nature" of Glama Natural and the companion, Glama-lope, says CTI Paper USA, provide a barrier resistant to many liquids and powders.
"During this trying time," says Brian Cowie, CTI Paper USA president, "the Glama-lope is providing a safer solution to mail communication. With the superior translucence of the [product] not only can the receiver see what's in the envelope, but more importantly, the user can see what is not in the envelope." According to Cowie, this ability to "see what isn't in the envelope" helps direct mail efforts. With these envelopes, he adds, consumers may be more likely to open such pieces.
