Advanced Labelling Systems Opens Facility
OXON, U.K.—Advanced Labelling Systems Ltd. (ALS) has opened a new label production facility at its Thame manufacturing plant. It is designed to provide distributors and retailers with labels that incorporate the latest security tags, including AM (acoustic magnetic), EM (electro magnetic) and RF (radio frequency).

In addition to the new service, ALS provides customers with the hardware that enables them to apply ALS security labels themselves. The new facility allows for the printing and converting of security labels in most shapes, sizes, and designs.

Foam Tapes Resist HeatWINDSOR, CT, USA—Scapa North America announces the Duofoam VJ Series of PE foam tapes. Double coated with a high-performance, p-s (pressure-sensitive) acrylic adhesive system, products are said to provide excellent holding power and good tack and to bond well to a wide variety of surfaces, including metals and engineered plastics. Mfr. reports benefits include excellent long-term aging, resistance to environmental extremes, and high performance over a range of operating temperatures.
