PICA & Flexo Industry Sponsor 2003 Phoenix Challenge

CHARLOTTE, NC, USA—PICA, the Printing Industry of the Carolinas, a regional printing trade association and several companies from the flexographic printing industry are underwriting the cost of the 2003 Phoenix Challenge High School Flexo Competition being held March 20 and 21,2003. The competition will take place at the Harper National Flexographic Center (HFNC) at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) in Charlotte, NC.

The Phoenix Challenge exists solely on donations made by the flexographic industry to cover operating expenses, scholarships, and travel/lodging expenses for the thirty-four students participating in the competition. Many of the sponsors also contribute time by judging or teaching at this exciting event, as well as donate frequent flyer miles to help students participating in the competition.

Companies sponsoring this year’s competition include All Printing Resources, Anderson & Vreeland, DuPont, Harper Corp. of America, Mark Andy/Comco, and Water Ink Technology.
