NEW YORK, NY, USA—Coaters and laminators looking for supply-chain solutions may have an easier time finding what they need at next year's Converting Machinery and Materials (CMM) show in April. According to the Association of Industrial Metallizers, Coaters, and Laminators (AIMCAL), based on the success of its inaugural efforts at CMM 2003, the trade group will expand and enhance significantly its AIMCAL pavilion at CMM 2005.
AIMCAL says plans for the pavilion include several special 10x6 ft. and 10x10 ft. booths located in a prominent section on the show floor. "[It] will serve as a one-stop-shopping oasis where buyers from around the world can experience all that is new and exciting in the coating and laminating marketplace. In addition," reports AIMCAL, "a special hospitality area will be added to the pavilion for members to meet with their customers and discuss business opportunities in a relaxed setting." The association adds, in 2003, 18 AIMCAL members exhibited in the pavilion and 87 more member companies exhibited in larger booths throughout the show floor.
States AIMCAL executive director Craig Sheppard, "Our members were so pleased with the results of CMM 2003 that I believe we can attract a greater number of additional exhibitors to the 2005 pavilion. [It] provides our members with a very cost-effective opportunity to showcase their products to more than 25,000 converting and package printing professionals from around the world."
Along with the expanded AIMCAL pavilion, the organization is also planning to sponsor "insightful" sessions as part of CMM's comprehensive conference program. "The AIMCAL conference sessions are always among the best attended at every CMM," says AIMCAL. Topics of the education sessions will be announced later this year, adds the group.
AIMCAL says, as an endorsing association of CMM, its members also will receive complimentary entrance to the exhibits as well as discounts on select conference sessions.
