Komori Rolls Out Offset Innovation with Style

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL, USA—On July 16, Komori America Corp. introduced its new six-color offset press to members of the trade media, including PFFC. Komori unveiled the 40-in. LS40 amid an entertaining show of projections and an informative overhead presentation.

To demonstrate its automatic capabilities, Komori ran two jobs on the LS40 during the presentation, delivering on the promise of increased speed, productivity, versatility, excellent litho quality, and ultimately, increased profitability, for both the package and commercial printing markets.

The primary speaker at the event was Komori America president Stephan Carter, who emphasized the various innovations that reportedly give the LS40 its distinction as "one of the most effective presses made to date." The machine run demonstrated the decrease in changeover and makeready times as well as presented a sampling of finished pages, showing a barely discernable difference between the 30th sheet and the 300th. This was an effective display of Komori's capabilities while treating the media to a showcase of innovation with distinctive style.
