Polytype Starts Up Polytype Converting Ltd

FRIBOURG, SWITZERLAND—Polytype Ltd Switzerland, manufacturer of paper, film, and foil converting equipment as well as decorating of tubes, cans, soups and lids, reports it's establishing a separate company for its converting machinery division. Polytype Converting Ltd (PCF), also located in Fribourg, "will increase the opportunity for a more efficient and focused market strategy," states the co. "At the same time, the well-established strength of Polytype in product development and customer service will continue to be expanded," adds mfr.

Polytype says the tranfer of activities will be carried out during the course of 2003 and access to manufacturing facilities and to the general infrastructure will not e affected. "The new Polytype Converting Ltd will concentrate its activities on the development of converting machinery products and associated equipment, including assembly, turnkey installation, and after-sales service. The existing two pilot lines which already offer 50 different coating methods, will be modernized and equipped with the latest hot melt application techniques.
