ALEXANDRIA, VA, USA—This year marks a very special occasion for the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC), reports its members. "It was 75 years ago that PPC’s earliest predecessor was founded."
To commemorate the occasion, PPC will display old photos and memorabilia, and honor individuals who have contributed to both PPC and the industry at a special dinner on the evening of March 15. Also during the dinner, PPC’s current chairman, Newth Morris of Dixie Printing and Packaging, will step down and hand association responsibilities to PPC’s new chairman Robert D. Neff of Neff Packaging Solutions. The event will carry a “1920s” theme, reminiscent of the year in which the original association was founded, reports PPC. In addition, says the paperboard packaging organization, the 61st National Paperboard Packaging Competition Awards Banquet will take place March 14.
According to PPC, tor the third consecutive year, it will present the general sessions as an Outlook and Strategies Conference. "We will address a wide range of topics commonly addressed in the 'situation review' phase of a corporate planning process: market trends, competitive strategies, advancing technology, financial performance, and public policy developments," adds the trade group.
Registration and hotel reservation deadlines are February 24, 2004. For information on registration and PPC’s room block, contact Monique Moore at (703)-836-3300, or email her at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
