NEW YORK, NY, USA—In related moves designed to enhance the converting industry’s most experienced show management team, CMM Events says it has appointed Erich Herbert to the sales director position, and Paperloop CEO Ian Johnston has assumed the presidency.
Paperloop's release about the trade show's management team reports:
Herbert comes to CMM Events from Reed Exhibition Companies where he held a series of sales management positions during the last five years for some of Reed’s leading trade events, including National Manufacturing Week. His most recent position at Reed was sales director of R&D technologies—pharmaceutical and biotechnology division, where he supervised a highly successful sales team and headed up global event selling efforts.
Prior to joining Reed, the world’s largest trade show organizer, Herbert was with Hannover Fairs USA where he sold and promoted the USA Pavilions to leading North American companies. He came to Hannover Fairs from General Foods, U.S.A. where he started his business career with Maxwell House Coffee Company.
In his new position, Herbert will head up a very experienced CMM sales team in selling the converting marketplace’s premier event. He will also become the newest member of the senior management team that has extensive experience in the converting / package printing marketplace. Anchored by well-known marketing consultant Roger Halligan, who has more than 20 years of experience in the converting and printing industries, the management team is now led by Paperloop CEO Ian Johnston. Other management team members are CMM veterans Elizabeth Zoller, director of operations, and Ronni Potosky, director of marketing.
Says Ian Johnston, “Erich brings an exciting new dimension to CMM that will help us grow the show and add some valuable new enhancements. His extensive experience in developing new pavilions and his contacts with industrial manufacturing organizations will prove very beneficial to the show and our exhibitors.”
Johnston Assumes Presidency
In related news, Johnston announced he has assumed the presidency of CMM to play a more active role in working with the CMM management team. In his expanded role, Johnston will be involved in strategic planning and day-to-day management issues, says Paperloop.
“CMM is one of the most important assets we have at Paperloop, and I’m confident our enhanced team will further strengthen CMM’s industry-leading position," adds Johnston.
