BASF and Heidelberg Announce Alliance

MT. OLIVE, NJ, USA—BASF recently announced its North American Printing Systems group has formed an alliance with Heidelberg Canada Graphic Equipment Ltd. The agreement enables Heidelberg to distribute BASF's line of K+E Printing Inks in Canada.
"This new and exciting relationship between and Heidelberg tremendously enhances the support both companies provide our customers," says Pat Janssen, BASF's GM—performance chemicals for the printing industry. "Both companies have demonstrated their strong commitment to the graphic arts industry. BASF's technology in printing inks, with Heidelberg's printing expertise, is a winning combination for both companies and our customers," Janssen adds.
BASF's K+E line of printing inks are available in cans, drums, and novel plastic cartridges that afford less waste and offer a cleaner working environment, says the co. The manufacturer's ink product line includes inks for: sheet-fed and web offset printing, gravure printing of packaging, and includes a new line of UV-curable and hybrid inks.
