Star Packaging Prints Up to 10 Colors with New Nordmeccanica Press

COLLEGE PARK, GA, USA—In early May, Star Packaging Corp. announced the purchase of a new Nordmeccanica SprintFlex 10, "a state-of-the-art, 10-color, quick-change flexo press." According to the company, the new press will provide the converter the capacity to print up to a 28-in. repeat and 47-in. web width in up to 10 colors.

"With the most advanced controls and precision registration," reports Star, "we will be able to produce today's complex designs. This is a major investment for Star Packaging to stay [at] the forefront of techology and offer our customers the best the industry has to offer at competitive prices."

The company adds it's very pleased with the performance of the Nordmeccanica 55-in. solventless laminator it purchased three years ago. With the new press, the packaging manufacturer now has four wide web presses, two laminators, and three slitters to service customer needs, says Star.
