GENT, BELGIUM—Esko-Graphics North America announces the introduction of the Kongsberg DCM 22 Digital Die Cutting system for converting applications. According to the co., the DCM 22 is suited for converters faced with the increasing demands of providing small lots, just-in-time jobs. Users of converting products are pushing tighter deadlines for market testing, custom packaging, and low-volume point-of-purchase displays constantly in their quest to reduce time to market. The DCM was designed to meet these requirements."

Esko-Graphics says the heart of the DCM is based on the Kongsberg automatic cutting and creasing table, nearly 2,000 of which are in operation in more than 70 countries, adds mfr. "By observing these sample tables in operation, it became evident the DCM was needed," states Don Skenderian, director of sales at Esko-Graphics. "Most of these machines not only are generating prototypes for design and approval purposes, but they are being used several times a day to fill short-run production."
