Synthetic Papers Have Long Life

Permanent Papers are said to combine an attractive print finish with durability, ensuring long-life, "tear-proof" performance in most hostile environments. The papers are recommended for printing by offset litho, screen, electrophotography, or other types of digital printing and are described as ideal for all types of labels, including luggage tags, plant labels, and point of sale, both for indoor and outdoor use.

Transfer Medium Adds Shimmer

Mira-Jet transfer medium reportedly makes display materials sparkle and shimmer when printed onto the Brilliance line of holographic and foil boards, causing posters to appear backlit and POP displays to have motion. Also applies a protective coating said to guard the image from damage by moisture, stains, chemicals, and abrasion.
Ink Undergoes Color Change

DataLase combines chemistry, substrate conversion, and laser energy for high-speed printing. It is described as a non-toxic and environmentally friendly ink, coating, or substrate additive that produces a positive image when marked by a low-power CO2 laser. The ink, coating, or additive then undergoes a chemical color change and creates an image that is stable and has high contrast.

Three flexible packaging films are called ideal for food, medical, and consumer product packaging. Techbarrier oriented films are coated with SiOx to achieve oxygen and water vapor barrier properties approaching those of aluminum foil. Supernyl coextruded nylon film is biaxially oriented and contains a barrier resin in the core. Santonyl nylon film is bi-axially oriented and maintains mechanical properties at higher temperatures than typical nylon films, company says.
