CMM 2003 Will Feature Narrow Web Pavilion
NEW YORK, NY, USA—CMM Events and the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) have joined forces to provide narrow web and tag and label machinery and materials suppliers with a cost-effective method of showcasing their products and technologies at CMM International, to be held April 14-17, 2003, in Chicago, IL. More than 28,000 converting professionals from some 70 countries are expected to attend the show.

Consisting of 10×10-ft booths, the pavilion is designed to serve as a “one-stop-shopping” oasis within the show where buyers can experience everything that is new in narrow web.

Seal-It's Printed Bands Top Hot Sauces
FARMINGDALE, NY, USA—Seal-It Inc. has been chosen by Bruce Foods to print a line of vividly colored neck bands said to improve brand awareness dramatically while offering tamper-evident protection.

Bruce Foods is a manufacturer of “Original” Louisiana, Red Rooster, and Louisiana Gold brands of hot sauces, as well as Casa Fiesta Mexican Foods, Bruce's Yams & Southern Vegetables, Bruce's Sweet Potato Baking Mixes, Mexene Chili Powder, Cajun King Seasoning Mixes, and other ethnic foods.

Seal-It prints three different tamper-evident neck bands in up to six colors for Bruce Foods, which buys the neckbands on rolls for use on automatic equipment.

ITW Holographics Receives iSCAN Patent
NEWBURYPORT, MA, USA—ITW Holographics has been awarded a US patent for a hologram production technique for its new iSCAN system, a high-speed, large-format, CTP (computer to plate) holography system.

The iSCAN system reportedly creates instant holograms in minutes versus months, says the company, adding it is cost-effective and involves no post-processing. A 28×40-in. custom hologram will shoot at 1,000 pixels/sec and be finished in 3 hr, ITW adds.
