Patrick J. O'Brien has joined Creo-Scitex, Burnaby, B.C., Canada, as packaging sales manager for the Northeast region in North America.
The International Prepress Assn., Edina, MN, has appointed Steve Bonoff its new president. Bonoff succeeds Hank Hatch, who recently retired after a long and successful career in prepress.
Indigo NV, Maastricht, The Netherlands, has appointed Dr. Joel S. Birnbaum to its board of directors. Birnbaum is also the special technical assistant to Hewlett Packard's CEO.
Agfa-Gevaert N.V., Mortsel, Belgium, has named Ludo Verhoeven CEO and president of the board of management of the Agfa-Gevaert group. Michael Korn has been named general manager of the mfr.'s consumer imaging business group. Agfa also announces the opening of an Operation Center in Shanghai. The center will handle sales, service, and logistics activities in the People's Republic of China.

Man Roland, Westmont, IL, recently held a Technology Open House (attended by PFFC) at its suburban Chicago headquarters. The co. demonstrated the integration of prepress and its press equipment. In addition to the demo, the two-day event featured presentations that addressed the impact of digital technology on print businesses.
Schawk de Mexico, a div. of Schawk Inc., Des Plaines, IL, recently garnered honors for its prepress work. The co.'s Bill Farrisee says the mfr. performed the digital prepress and imaging work on the top three wide web category winners in the Flexographica Latino Americana Awards 2000. The first place award winner is shown abov
