Splicer Adds Benefits to Flexo Process
PERAK, MALAYSIA
Seriharta Grafik Sdn Bhd prints cigarette packs for the tobacco group of which it is a part. Managing director Mr. Foo recently purchased a Gallus EM410 press to move the company from sheet-fed offset to narrow web flexo, and Gallus recommended a Martin MBS splicer for the new press.
Foo says the splicer delivers flawless automatic roll changes while maintaining constant web tension. In addition, Foo reports reduced material waste and consistent quality, noting that the splicer has exceeded his original expectations.
The Gallus press, also equipped with in-line rotary die-cutting, reportedly allows Seriharta Grafik to complete jobs on time with one-quarter the manpower required for the sheet-fed process.
