MINNEAPOLIS, MN, USA—Dunwoody College of Technology reports it will hold its open house "Welcome to the New Age of Flexo Workflows" on October 21 and 22, 2003.
According to Dunwoody, "The industry contributors to the Graphics and Printing Technologies Program [at the school] have come together to sponsor this one-of-a-kind [venue]." Dunwoody adds, each single event during the two-day affair will highlight various aspects of a flexographic workflow that utilizes digital prepress and imaging technologies as well as narrow web UV, water-based flexo printing equipment and anciliaries, digital proofing systems, and quality-measurement tools.
The open house is designed for converters interested in witnessing, first-hand, the functions of an entire workflow. "Each converter will be able to see how each aspect of prepress, proofing, printing, and finishing can be maximized while incorporating FTA's FIRST (Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications and Tolerances) practices and standards," adds Dunwoody.
