WESTMONT, IL, USA—As exclusive North American distributor of die-cutting equipment from Polygraph KAMA, Man Roland reports it's offering two new KAMA innovations—a 41-in. x 29-in. automatic die-cutter and a hot foil stamping module that upgrades exisiting TS 74 half-size KAMA die-cutters.
According to Man Roland, the new die-cutter, the TS 105, "delivers an array of unique production capabilities. It handles even the most sophisticated kiss cuts and cold embossing with a minimum of makeready and set-up time."
Says KAMA sales manager Ulrich Ebert, "In the TS 105 model, we have applied the tried-and-tested concept of a moving upper table to a larger machine. The new model can process a sheet size of 41 inches by 29 inches with a worm-gear-driven cutting station. Seventy percent of the world market are printed in this size."
Man Roland says the TS 105 can handle board up to 80-pt. (2 mm) board and microflute corrugated. "Featuring a stream feeder," adds the sheet press manufacturer, "it produces up to 4,500 sheets an hour—a 12 percent increase in performance compared with the previous model." Man Roland says the new cutter will be available from KAMA at the end of this year.
The new hot foil stamping module, Man Roland reports, enables printers to add value by applying decorative metallic highlights. "Polygraph KAMA is the only manufacturer worldwide to provide a hot foil stamping retrofitting kit for its cutting machines," says the company, adding that the new module can handle up to 3,000 sheets per hour and offers quick makeready time capabilities as well.
