Package Printer Steps Up Production 50% with Creo's Brisque Pack

VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA—Creo reports trade shops, printers, and converters around the world are embracing Brisque Pack packaging workflow, what the co. calls "the affordable, easy-to-use solution that streamlines the step-and-repeat process and drives offset or flexographic computer-to-plate (CTP) devices."

According to the mfr., the Brisque Pack workflow offers the choice of low-resolution stepping (LRS) or the packaging control file (PCF) format, which is compatible with StepOne and other step-and-repeat applications. Co. adds packaging printer Drukkerij VTK, Antwerp, Belgium, chose Creo's Brisque Pack workflow because of its compatibility with StepOne, and after a demo, the co. was motivated to convert its step-and-repeat applications to a digital solution to save time and money. "Brisque Pack makes our production at least 50 percent faster, depending on the number of repeats," says production manager Honorz Vermeulen. "The ease of use of [its] interface resulted in an almost error-free move," he adds.

Creo's Bob Kutschke, director of packaging workflow, says the latest edition of Brisque Pack, Version 4, offers several options specifically designed to make package printers more productive and profitable. "These Brisque Pack features deliver efficient step-and-repeat workflows within a traditional Brisque environment. By building on the platform, Creo has enabled existing and new Brisque customers to extend the success and robustness of the workflow to packaging work."
