ANTIOCH, CA, USA—Equipped with what reportedly is the "West Coast's largest imagesetter," SunGraphics now provides prepress services for boxmakers. Situtated in the San Francisco/Oakland area in Northern California, SunGraphics' newly opened "state-of-the-art facility provides package design and finished flexographic printing plates used in the production of paper packaging such as corrugated boxes, folding cartons, and retail point-of-purchase displays." Adds Dave Garnache, SunGraphics' business manager, "It's been positioned in the Bay Area to provides services to consumer goods companies and packaging converters in California and other Western States.
At the heart of the Antioch facility is a Esko-Graphics Gigasetter, which is capable of providing one-piece films up to 96.5 x 63.5 in., and almost takes up an entire room in the facility. Learn more about this impressive new facility—which PFFC visited earlier this month— and its extensive array of prepress software, hardware, and capabilities by checking out pffc-online.com next week. Pictures of SunGraphics' massive Gigasetter, as well as of the facility's opening celebration, will be included.
