New Committee Secretary

The Extrusion Coating Committee of the PLACE Division has selected Jamie Foederer as its new secretary. Foederer works as regional northeast sales manager for Extrusion Dies Industries, LLC, with headquarters in Fulton, New York. He has been a member of TAPPI and the PLACE Division for six years and has devoted his efforts to the Extrusion Coating Committee.

Foederer has eight years experience in the area of extrusion. He worked for Black Clawson in production engineering and application engineering before joining their sales force with responsibility for the southwestern United States and Latin America. During his membership in the Extrusion Coating Committee, Foederer has authored and presented papers at various meetings including the International TAPPI/CETEA Conference on Flexible Packaging, LatinPack in Brazil, and LatinPack in Mexico City. At the PLACE Conference in 2002, he was the developer and session chairperson for the technical session entitled “Extruder to Die.”

“I am looking forward to participating in the work of the Extrusion Coating Committee as its secretary and moving through the different officer positions in the group,” said Foederer. “This group has always been a leader in the PLACE Division. I want to ensure that it continues this in the future.”
