Orion Engineered Carbons Announces New Distribution Partnership with ION Specialties in Mexico

Orion Engineered Carbons, a specialty chemicals company, has entered a distribution agreement with newly formed ION Specialties, based in Mexico City.

Effective Jan. 17, 2023, ION Specialties will represent Orion’s specialty carbon black product lines for paints, coatings, inks, adhesives and plastics throughout Mexico. ION Specialties is a subsidiary of Quimica Delta s. a., a major chemical supplier to the Americas. 

“ION Specialties has put together an impressive team of seasoned salespeople, and coupled the team with the Quimica Delta infrastructure of warehouses, laboratories and logistical support,” said Orion Channel Manager David Roth.  ”We are excited to be part of ION’s portfolio and look forward to partnering with them to serve the Mexican market.”

Carlos Rivas, ION Specialties general manager, also cited advantages to the mutually beneficial partnership.
