GMerix has significantly strengthened its production capabilities with the acquisition of ETI Converting’s Cohesio coater. Known for managing projects from pilot to large-scale production, this acquisition further enhances GMerix’s ability to coat a wide range of materials for tape and label stock manufacturing.

Tailored Solutions for Diverse Client Needs

This addition underscores GMerix’s commitment to delivering innovative, high-precision pressure-sensitive materials across various industries, including medical, biopharmaceutical, automotive, food, and packaging.

Renowned for pioneering custom formulations and advanced products for their clients, GMerix selected ETI’s coater for its exceptional flexibility and robust capabilities. The production line features versatile adhesive coating units—gravure and Mayer rod—that offer precise control over coat weights. Additionally, the coater includes a 60-foot, four-zone fully electric oven, capable of processing various water-based adhesives and coatings. This setup builds on GMerix’s expertise, particularly for coating inkjet receptive materials.

“We are dedicated to building strong, lasting partnerships with our customers. Our new ETI water-based coater expands our capabilities, allowing us to apply a range of water-based adhesives and coatings, including inkjet receptive options. We provide a comprehensive suite of services, including R&D, pilot coating, full-scale production, and slitting and rewinding,” said Ali Rabea, Director of Product Development and Operations at GMerix.

This investment aligns with GMerix’s strategy to adapt swiftly to market demands and consistently deliver top-quality products with speed and efficiency.

GMerix will exhibit at Labelexpo, booth #3542. GMerix team is enthusiastic about forging new connections and establishing themselves as a leading partner capable of delivering exceptional results in toll coating and toll slitting.
