Ashland PSA Suited for Electronics Apps

DUBLIN, OH | Ashland has launched Aroset PS 6449, a solution-based acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) said to deliver superior optical clarity in electronics applications.

Company says the new adhesive is acid free and thus reduces the likelihood of future corrosion, and the product demonstrates a good balance of adhesion and cohesion as well as good temperature resistance.

The adhesive can be used in bonding multiple layers together in electronics applications, where optical clarity, durability, and weatherability performance are required.

“Aroset PS 6449 adhesive can improve the quality and durability of electronics, such as mobile phones, tablets, notebook personal computers, and automotive monitors for entertainment and GPS systems,” says Zhaohui Sun, industry manager, pressure sensitive adhesives, Ashland. “Testing has shown it to provide unmatched optical clarity which is critical for consumer satisfaction with these devices.”
