TekniPlex Healthcare to Showcase Multilayer Sensitive Drug Transfer Tubing & High-Performance Coated Barrier Products

TekniPlex Healthcare, which utilizes advanced materials science expertise to help deliver better patient outcomes, will showcase a variety of medical device and protective barrier solutions products at MD&M West Booth #3019, April 12-14 in Anaheim, CA. In addition, the recently consolidated division will highlight its reorganization into a more cohesive business unit, which stands to benefit customers in several ways.

Among other materials science solutions, TekniPlex Healthcare will display its high-performance coated DuPont™ Tyvek® and paper barriers. TekniPlex’s coated products seal to a variety of formable bottom webs, offering clean and consistent peels to maintain sterility of medical devices.

TekniPlex Healthcare also will showcase a selection of its tubing solutions for sensitive drug transfer. The tubes’ multilayer designs enable the reliable infusion of drug products suspended in strong solvents, including dimethylsulphoxide (DMSO) and n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP), maintaining their stability and best ensuring effectiveness. Notably, the tubing TekniPlex Healthcare will show, has enabled several hard-to-transfer infusion systems to get to market.

For TekniPlex Healthcare, MD&M West also is among the first trade events since the business unit’s strategic reorganization. Prior to this, the division’s complementary collection of businesses – including those in the medical device, flexible packaging and films sectors – would often market themselves separately.

Now fully integrated, TekniPlex Healthcare services the global medical device, pharmaceuticals and diagnostics markets as a cohesive, consolidated entity. Among other customer benefits, the streamlined reorganization simplifies customer servicing, and is more conducive to capitalizing on the company’s comprehensive healthcare solutions portfolio.
