Special Anniversary For Avery Dennison

PASADENA, CA | Avery Dennison Corp. marked its 75th anniversary as a company on June 2. It was founded in 1935 by R. Stanton Avery, who developed the first self-adhesive label and label-making machinery. Avery received 18 patents over the course of his career for p-s materials and production technologies.

Today, the company has evolved into a $6 billion global leader in labeling and packaging solutions, retail branding and information solutions, and organization and identification solutions for work and home.
