Schober Will Show Rotary Die-Cutting Technology
- Published: August 21, 2014
CINCINNATI, OH | Schober will feature rotary die-cutting technology designed for converting digitally or conventionally printed film and foil, laminates, coated paper laminates, and composite materials at Labelexpo Americas 2014 September 9–11, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.
The Spider high-speed programmable robotic stacking and counting system is one of several stacking options available in the RSM product line. It is said to combine acceleration, velocity, and precision at speeds to 50 mpm (164 fpm), allowing stacking of various types of products within the same print image. Reported to be well suited for digitally printed in-mold labels; technology allows nested product configurations with a combination of large/long and small products.
The RSM-Digi/VS model is designed for either digital or conventionally printed materials. Said to be ideal for use with OPP, PE, PS, PET, and more, this new technology is available with web widths to 850 mm (33 in.) and die-cutting repeat of 1,220 mm (48 in). A 100% product inspection system with defective product discharge is available.
In addition to the robotic Spider delivery, other proven stacking/delivery devices available include “M” stack for short runs, “S” stack for longer runs, “SM” for awkward products, and the “SMA” fully automated solution.
