Lakeside Installs Visual Scheduling Board

PLATTSBURGH, NY—The Lakeside Container Co. has purchased visual scheduling software from Advanced Software, Yardley, PA. The software looks like a magnetic schedule board, but with the smarts of a computer. Machines are listed down the left side, dates across the top, and color-coded jobs on the board. The planner may drag and drop jobs or manually number each job sequence, and the software organizes and links related machines across the entire board. New orders and plant data collection from the Advantzware Box Management system keeps the scheduler current with real time data that sales service can view any time.
