PRESS RELEASE
ROCHESTER, NY—A. Maciel Printing, an environmentally friendly company, uses chemistry-free plates Thermal Direct plates from Kodak. The company's pro-Earth stance has attracted business from customers such as the Rainforest Action Network, American Land Conservancy, Greenpeace, ForestEthics, and the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition.
The Kodak Thermal Direct non-process printing plate is the industry's only non-process plate featuring a traditional grained and anodized substrate, creating a true "drop-in" plate product with the look and feel of presensitized aluminium plate. Based on fourth generation thermal technology, the new plate does no require the use of a processor or modifications to imaging devices or the press. In addition, Thermal Direct plates are compatible with all popular thermal CTP imagers, and a wide range of inks and fountain solutions.
A. Macial Printing also recently purchased a Kodak Prinergy EVO workflow system, Kodak Magnus CTP platesetter, and a Kodak Matchprint inkjet proofing solution.
