Winter, Bell Company Awarded Patriot Certificate

Winter, Bell Company, a paper and packaging specialty company, recently was awarded the prestigious “My Boss is a Patriot” certificate of appreciation by the Office of the Secretary of Defense, National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.

The award was the result of a Reserve member, SGT E-5 Melvin Kelly, nominating Winter, Bell. Kelly is an employee of Winter, Bell and serves with CO B 1St Battalion 263rd Armor based in Dillon, SC. SGT Kelly presented the award to Rick Lewis, Winter, Bell President, and Sparky Stroud, Vice President-Manufacturing at a company luncheon honoring Kelly prior to his deployment. Kelly’s unit has recently been activated and following state-side training will be deployed to Afghanistan.

Winter, Bell Company’s award thanks the “Patriotic Employer for Contributing to National Security and Protecting Liberty and Freedom by supporting Employee Participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force.
