GHG Emissions Fall in Industrial Sector

WASHINGTON, DC | Industrials was the only sector of the US economy in which greenhouse gas emissions fell between 1990 and 2008. The reduction, 5.9%, was driven largely by energy efficiency improvements. This information was reported by the American Materials Mfg. Alliance (AMMA), a group of energy-intensive, trade-exposed industries that includes The Aluminum Assn., the American Chemistry Council, the American Forest & Paper Assn., and more.
