GAF-Elk Adds Slitter/Rewinder

FULTON, NY | Davis-Standard reports the installation of a new slitter/rewinder line at GAF-Elk Corp., Ennis, TX. The line, which is designed for a maximum web width of 80 in. and line speeds of 1,000 fpm, is used for fiberglass nonwoven mat products for roofing applications.

Roger Jiao, project manager at GAF-Elk, is pleased with the user-friendly rewinder with recipe setup and winding curves. Other advantages include the shaftless floor pickup unwind, a splice table with pull roll and score slitters, and an AB digital drive system.
