Inometa Offers New Plate Mounting Sleeve

APPLETON, WI | Inometa Flexo Systems announces the “Patriot” flexo plate mounting sleeve, said to offer increased accuracy and productivity. The sleeve, named for its red, white, and blue layers, features a core comprised of a specialized glass material with clamping characteristics that reportedly do not change throughout the core's entire service life. 

Company says a compressible, solid urethane inner layer provides greater dimensional stability, concentric accuracy, and resistance to inks and solvents that cause swelling and can reduce the accuracy and service life of traditional plate-mounting sleeves.

The red outer layer features an polyurethane surface said to have greater resistance to cuts and the effects of UV, solvents, and water-based inks. Handling in the pressroom is easier due to sleeve’s light weight and ease of mounting/demounting all air mandrel sizes.

The company recently consolidated manufacturing operations from Warburg, Germany, to the Appleton, facility.
