Roland Inkjet Printer Comes with Many Features

IRVINE, CA | Roland has introduced the VersaEXPRESS RF-640, a high-speed, large-format inkjet printer said to offer high print quality and production capability at an affordable price.

Roll-fed printer is capable of creating prints that can be transferred to corrugated or other rigid substrates. Also can create prints for POP displays. The printer incorporates a state-of-the-art gold-plated printhead, a robust take-up system, and high-density Eco-Sol MAX 2 inks reported to deliver superior graphic results while maximizing output, ease of use, and efficiency.

Company’s Intelligent Pass Control controls dot placement precisely, working with GREENGUARD Gold certified Eco-Sol MAX 2 to ensure rich prints with virtually no banding on a wide range of substrates.

Printer Assist is said to increase convenience and user-friendliness by enabling user to manage production, test-printing, and cleaning functions directly from an iPad tablet.

Other features said to increase ease of use and operational effectiveness include front-loading ink cartridges, media loading levers at both the front and back of the printer, and media brackets said to make loading even the heaviest media rolls a simple task. A take-up unit is included for added production capability and convenience.

The RF-640 comes with company’s VersaWorks RIP software, which provides advanced productivity tools for optimizing image quality and workflow, including built-in Pantone spot color libraries.
