Screen USA Adds New Label Press

ROLLING MEADOWS, IL | Screen USA offers the Truepress Jet L350UV inkjet label press to address what company says is the exploding demand for value-added packaging that intensifies product differentiation.

The press offers print speeds to 164 fpm (or 173.2 sq ft of printed labels/min) and can accommodate maximum printing and media widths to 12.6 in. and 13.7 in., respectively. With company’s high-definition CMYK plus optional opaque white UV inks and advanced color management technology, the press is said to produce a wide gamut of vibrant colors and smooth tones at high resolution.

Reportedly, the new corona discharge option improves ink adhesion on the media surface, enabling high quality printing on transparent film and metallic foil and an automatic printhead cleaning function helps ensure unfailing results. Controlled by company’s Equios workflow management system and RIP, the press provides accurate variable data label printing at full speeds.

Press can be configured as a roll-to-roll press for near-line finishing or automating label production from beginning to end by connecting the press to inline lamination, die-cutting, foiling, coating, and embossing systems.
