Microtrace Offers Watermarks for Synthetic Papers

MINNEAPOLIS, MN | Microtrace reports it now offers watermarking on synthetic papers such as PPG Teslin, which company says has been previously impossible to do.

Reportedly, the quality of the watermark images is similar to traditional currency watermarking, and like traditional watermarking, synthetic paper watermarks have low visibility under normal conditions and are highly visible when back illuminated.

Watermarks on synthetic papers are said to provide ideal security, including item level customization/serialization and are challenging to reproduce, copy, or forge.
