SGIA Honors Golden Image Winners

FAIRFAX, VA | The SGIA (Specialty Graphic Imaging Association) presented winners of the Golden Image Competition at the 2017 SGIA Expo New Orleans, LA, October 10–12. Judges evaluated 300 entries from more than 60 companies in 53 categories, and the Best of Show recipients were honored with the top awards in the competition. Other winners included the People’s Choice award, chosen based on the entry receiving the most votes from attendees visiting the Golden Image Gallery, and the Product of the Year category.

The Golden Image Competition recognizes the highest standard of imaging and includes almost every item—no matter how complex—in the specialty graphics industry. Among the Gold winners, the exceptional entries were chosen by members of the Academy of Screen and Digital Printing Technologies and given the “Best of Show” award.

“The SGIA Expo showcases the very best of the world’s leading printers,” says Johnny Shell, SGIA’s VP of Technical Services. “The ‘Best of Show’ honor is awarded only to those who show remarkable control and ability in their printing techniques.”
