FTA Previews 2018 Forum

BOHEMIA, NY | The Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) reports the official theme of Forum 2018 will be “Bringing It All Together: Synchronizing Processes, People and Potential.” More than 2,000 professionals from every segment of the supply chain are expected to attend the event, scheduled for May 6–9 at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown in Indianapolis, IN. 

The Forum 2018 agenda tackles synchronization of the many moving parts of the industry. Culminated into one event through nine informative sessions, topics include student research about the future of flexo, how company cultures impact all strategic planning for success, and new capabilities and technologies of today’s flexo presses. According to FTA, attendees will walk away with a clear understanding of the customer’s point of view of package printing and the brand management process, how to effectively communicate the proof approval process between brand owner and printer, and much more.

The sessions are as follows:

  • New Capabilities: Look at Flexo Now!
  • Color: Where Are We Now?
  • Taming Consumer Behavior Through Packaging Design

  • Advanced Corrugated Technologies: A Business Case
  • Troubleshooting Survival Guide

In addition, the program agenda will offer a complimentary pre-conference session titled “Purchasing Printing/Converting Equipment: Flexo’s New Market Scenario.” Program development is being led by Forum Chair Bob Coomes, Plastic Packaging Technologies, and Co-Chair Ann Michaud, 3M.

Collocated with Forum 2018 will be is INFOFLEX, which takes place May 7–8 across the Skywalk at the Indiana Convention Center. Visitors will find booths occupied by hundreds of the industry’s top suppliers, says FTA, with this two-day, intensive networking opportunity allowing for the successful intertwining of the various worlds of package printing and converting technologies.
