ION Inkjet Printing Technology

The new ION digital conversion system by PCMC featuring Memjet’s DuraLink® technology is suitable for labels, folding cartons, flexible packaging, and other specialty printing markets.

The system reportedly offers a native resolution of 1600 x 1585 DPI and various printing modes with speeds of up to 668 feet/minute (203 meters/minute).

The ION is a fully modular system that can be integrated onto a current flexographic press, regardless of manufacturer, with the ability to combine long-life printheads, pigment ink, and flexible modules that can be configured from 8.5-inch up to 60-inch print widths.

It is available as a mono-color print-bar and full-color printing platform with expanded gamut printing.
