Erema's K Show Success Shows Confidence in Recycling Future

IPSWICH, MA | Erema received orders for 12 TVEplus plastics recycling systems during K2010.  The TVEplus is the latest version of Erema’s vented TVE series designed to process heavily inked and otherwise contaminated scrap into useful near virgin quality material.  More than 50 vented Erema systems are at work in North America. A typical TVEplus system was part of the Erema K Show program.

Erema developed the patent-protected TVEplus to facilitate recycling the increasingly more heavily inked and additive laden plastics packaging common today. In the Erema TVE series melt filters are placed ahead of a degassing system. The TVE has proven over more than a decade of use to be capable of handling large amounts of contaminants at higher production rates and quality than other vented extruders, according to the company. The TVEplus is the result of modifications of the TVE in design and process engineering that allow a significant increase in degassing efficiency and an improved homogenization process.

Since January 2010, all Erema systems have been equipped with new ecoSAVE technology allowing Erema systems operators to reduce their energy costs. ecoSAVE is described as a complete design and process engineering package that includes a variety of energy saving components and high-performance motors.
