New MLP Press Improves Profits

CARROLLTON, GA | Printed Specialties has added a 40-in. Diamond 3000LX press from Mitsubishi that accommodates stock ranging from 0.0016-0.040 in. It features six printing units, full UV interdeck dryers, extended delivery, and anilox UV coater.

According to Greg Smith, president, printing capacity has increased by one-third, and greater throughput per hour has improved the per-job profit margin. “We are definitely more productive. We actually were able to eliminate one shift per day.”
