SYRACUSE, NY | The State University of New York College of Environmental Science & Forestry (SUNY-ESF) has opened registration for the spring semester. The courses are part of the Radiation Curing Program (RCP), a partnership between SUNY-ESF and RadTech International, North America, to create a program that bridges academic and professional development.
There are now five courses offered in the program. Two short courses were developed to provide a fundamental understanding of ultraviolet (UV) and electron beam (EB) technology. New this spring is a course covering the topic of 3D imaging using UV technology. These courses can be completed in 4–6 hours.
The three advanced graduate-level courses further explore UV/EB curing principles and applications. Students can earn a Certificate in Radiation Curing from SUNY if all three courses are taken for credit.
Advanced 500-level graduate courses include:
• Introduction to Polymer Coatings (February 2–April 17)
• Radiation Curing of Polymer Technologies (February 16–May 1)
• Radiation Curing Equipment, Instrumentation & Safety (February 16–April 17)
