SOFTAL Changes Hands

HAMBURG, GERMANY | Effective this past November, all fixed and non-fixed equipment and manufacturing resources, as well as trademark, industrial property rights, and complete entity of the insolvent company Softal electronic Erik Blumenfeld GmbH & Co. KG were transferred to Softal Corona and Plasma GmbH. The owner of the new Softal GmbH is AFS Entwicklungs + Vertriebs GmbH, headquartered in Horgau (near Augsburg), Germany.

Both companies manufacture equipment designed to modify the surfaces of materials in order to increase their adhesion properties. The new Softal took over a large number of employees from the insolvent company, and the company headquarters in Hamburg will remain in use.
