PRESS RELEASE
DALLAS, TX, USA—Creo reports its Hyperflex plate resolution enhancement software is the sole recipient of the Flexographic Technical Association's Technical Innovation Award. According to Creo, this award was established in 1995 and recognizes companies that have made significant contributions to the advancement of the flexographic printing and converting industry.
Hyperflex is a resolution-enhancement technology that allows package printers, converters, and trade shops to produce smaller, more stable dots on flexographic plates and presswork, says Creo. "This ability to produce a smaller minimum dot size increases the effective resolution of the flexo plate and allows highlights to be reproduced more faithfully, with a less discernable transition in vignettes." Adds the manufacturer, "Hyperflex complements Creo Maxtone screening—the hybrid AM screening solution that overcomes highlight and shadow reproduction limitations."
