Tarsus Group Announces Launch of Packaging Services Expo

MILWAUKEE, WI, USA—Organizers of Labelexpo, Tarsus Group plc, reports the creation and launch of Packaging Services Expo—PSE—"the only event for contract and packaging solutions." According to Tarsus, the new venue will benefit from major sponsorships by The Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) and Packaging World magazine.

Says Tarsus, "Contract manufacturing and packaging, as well as packaging services, is now a multi-billion-dollar business, with an estimated 75 percent of items found in the kitchen, bathroom, or garage not packed by the company whose name is on the label. Brand owners today focus on what they are good at, leaving the specialist packaging services companies to meet their non-core activities."

Adds IoPP's executive director Ed Landon, "Seventy-seven percent of the Institute of Packaging Professionals' members buy packaging services, including contract packaging, package design, package testing, and more. IoPP members will come to PSE to meet the leading packaging service companies, at an expo and conference program dedicated exclusively to this fast-growing segment of the packaging industry."

According to Tarsus, PSE exhibitors will offer the latest in manufacturing and packaging technology services across a wide range of diverse end-user industry sectors. Visitors, including blue chip companies, brand owners, and specialist manufacturers, will have the opportunity to find outsourcing partners to handle matters such as new product launches, product recalls, upsurges in demand, product or packaging compliances, specialist filling, packing or labeling expertise, and fulfillment services, adds the organizer.

"Partnering with contract and service companies is a very important part of the packaging industry," explains Don Browne, PSE event manager, "with 60 percent of all companies in all industries having gone to at least one outside group to complete their production cycle.
